J.D. Stricklin

J.D. Stricklin, 91, of Savannah, died Monday, Jan. 31.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Noah and Mary Alice Stricklin. He was united in marriage to Louise Tilley, who survives.

Mr. Stricklin was self-employed as a farmer. He also was a logger, mechanic and a school bus driver. Mr. Stricklin served in the Army from April 1942 thru November 1945. He was a member of Abrams Chapel Church and the DAV.

Services will be held today, Thursday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m., in the Shackelford Chapel with Willie Paul Kilburn officiating. Burial will be in Lutts Cemetery.

In addition to his wife, Louise, he is survived by a son, Roger Stricklin of Savannah; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Prochnow of Savannah.
