J.C. Goodman J.C. Goodman, 67, of Savannah, died Friday, Sept. 2, in Savannah. He was born in Lauderdale County, Ala., the son of the late Clifford Lee and Martha Ann Cox Goodman. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Bugher, who survives. Mr. Goodman was a retired teamster for 30 years in Memphis Local 667. He was a volunteer fire fighter at Station 14. He was involved in the building of the new Bruton Branch Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Carolyn of Savannah, he is survived by one daughter, Sheila Goodman of Memphis; one stepson, Mark Reel of Collierville, Tenn.; one grandchild, four step grandchildren, one great grandchild; one sister, Margaret Stricklin of Florence, Ala.; one brother, Jimmy Goodman of Savannah; five half-brothers, Jerry Goodman of Romulas, Mich., Junior Goodman and Grady Goodman, both of Chicago, Ill., Rodney Goodman of Marion, Ill. and Ricky Goodman of St. Petersburg, Fla. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Scott; two brothers, his twin, L.C. Goodman and Derlon Goodman; and one half-brother, Danny Goodman. Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial followed in the White’s Creek Cemetery at Hardin County.
