Janice Smithson Janice M. Smithson, age 69 of Saltillo, departed this life Monday, Sept. 10, at her home. She was born in Bolivar April 28, 1943, to the late Ruble T. Webb and Margie Lee Jackson. She was united in marriage to Thomas Smithson, who survives, and worked as a homemaker as well as a factory worker with Harmon Automotive in Bolivar. She was a member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to Bolivar, she also lived in Paris, Tenn. and Memphis before moving to Saltillo 15 years ago. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar with Ricky Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. before the service. Burial will be in Parrans Chapel Cemetery in Bolivar. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Teresa McKeen and husband Bruce of Bolivar and Tina Hall of Jackson; four sons, Tony Hall and wife Janene of Bolivar, Michael Hall and wife Effie of Bolivar, Tommy Hall and wife Regina of Nesbit, Miss., and Paul Smithson of Memphis; a brother, Robert Kent Jackson of Jackson; a half sister, Eva Wright of Brownsville; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
