Janet Sue Garrison

Janet Sue Garrison, 78, of Savannah, departed this life on Tuesday, January 27, the daughter of the late Frances Henry Lawinsky and Ruby Carmelita Rodie Veltman.
She was united in marriage to Charles Robert “Butch” Garrison, who preceded his wife in death.
She retired from Harbert Hills Academy Nursing Home where she was the activity director. She was employed there for over 60 years. Mrs. Garrison was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Savannah.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Elder and Sabrina Bigbie; son, Michael Garrison; chosen daughter, Kathy Moon; brothers, Leroy Lawinsky and Fernon Anthony Lawinsky; sisters, Kay Hinds and LaDonna Smith; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 6, 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Pastor Bob Wint officiating. Burial will follow at Overbrook Cemetery in Adamsville.
