James Phillips
James Edward "Po" Phillips, 64, of Adamsville, died Friday, May 3, at McNairy Regional Hospital.
He was the son of the late Norman Lee and Laura Haddocks Phillips. He was united in marriage to Frances Wicker Phillips, who survives.
Mr. Phillips was a retired material handler at World Color with 16 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Childers Hill Pentecostal Church and an active member of Adamsville Senior Citizens group.
Services were held Monday, May 6, at Childers Hill Pentecostal Church, Michie, with Willis Winters, Brandon Terry and Rev. Pat Terry officiating. Burial with military honors was held at Pisgah Cemetery, Michie.
In addition to his wife Frances of Adamsville, he is survived by two sons, Chris and Willis Phillips, both of Adamsville; five daughters, Sandi Terry of Adamsville, Bridget Milligan of Counce, Christy Walker of Adamsville, Wendy Crowe of Bethel Springs, Tenn., Angie Patterson of Savannah; 17 grandchildren; brother, Charlie Phillips of Jackson, Tenn.
