James "Howard" Droke James "Howard" Droke, 77, of Savannah, died Sunday, April 22, at Perry County Hospital. The son of the late Troy and Avil Hughes Droke. He was united in marriage to Bobbie Roberts on July 9, 1955, who survives. Mr. Droke worked as a sheet metal worker for years and loved farming, raising cattle, and turkey hunting. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Conchita Stephens of Crump and two sons, Gary and wife Pat, and Mark Droke, both of Savannah; two sisters, Reva Prince of Munford, Tenn. and Francis Foster of Memphis; two brothers, David Droke of Savannah and Charles L. (Buddy) Droke of Lancaster, Calif.; four grandchildren, Mack White and wife Kim, Brett Stephens and wife Beth, Christine McClarin, and Phillip Droke, all of Savannah; three great grandchildren, Kane Howard White, Molly Catherine White, and Emsley Faith Stephens, all of Savannah. In addition to his parents, Mr. Droke was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Droke of Sheffield, Ala. and one grandson, Joey Droke of Houston, Texas. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 24, at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
