James Andrew Garrett, 54, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at his residence. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Andrew and Lillian Price Garrett.
James was self-employed as a carpenter. He was of the Baptist belief.
Services were held on Sunday, Nov. 17, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Ricky Garrard officiating. Burial followed at Mt. View Cemetery in Hardin County.
James is survived by his children, Allen Garrett of Waynesboro, Tenn., Jason Garrett of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Kristy Risner of Clifton, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Brown and Joanne Conway both of Savannah and Kathy Garrett of Waynesboro, Tenn.; brothers, Larry Garrard of Florence, Ala., Stevie Garrett of Nashville, and Donnie Garrett of Savannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Stetson Risner; brother, Robert Garrett; and sisters, Judy Horton and Margaret Garrett.
