James "Ed" Bachuss

James Edwin “Ed” Bachuss, 93, of Savannah, departed this life on Wednesday, January 28, the son of the late Joseph and Rebecca Cooper Bachuss.
Ed was united in marriage to Reba Prater, who survives.
Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955, receiving the National Defense Service Metal and Good Conduct Metal.
In 2002, Ed retired from TVT Towing.
Ed is survived by his son, Jed Bachuss; daughter, Jill Bachuss; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer, John, J.B., Wallace and Gernel Bachuss; and his sisters, Maggie Barnett, Gerneal Goodman and Myrtle Bachuss.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations may be made to Pyburn Cemetery Fund at 320 Ridge Road, Savannah, TN 38372; Alzheimer’s Association; Darryl Worley Foundation; or charity of choice.
Memorial services were held on Monday, February 2, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Larry Davis officiating. Burial followed at Pyburn Cemetery in Savannah.
