Jake McLin Jake McLin, 84, of Savannah, died Monday, Nov. 7, in Savannah. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late James Carl and Flora Bell Hill McLin. He was united in marriage to Betty Glissen, who preceded him in death. Mr. McLin was a retired timber cutter. He was a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Services were held on Thursday, Nov. 10, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Charles Linam and W.D McCollum officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County. He is survived by two daughters, Helen Beckham and Jane DeShazier, both of Savannah; four sons, Kenny of Olive Hill, Tony and Billy, both of Savannah, and Danny McLin of Collinwood; three step-daughters, Cricket, Laura Lee and Ruth Ann and three step-sons, Charlie, James and Curtis; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack McLin of Savannah; three sisters, Sue Bryant of Adamsville, Blanche Wilkerson of Savannah and Emma Brown of Sarasota, Fla. He was also preceded in death by his former wife and mother of his children, Dorothy McLin; one son, Jim McLin, two brothers, Dick and Pete McLin; and three sisters, Nan Grimes, Ollie Smith and Verna Turnbo.
