Hubert Boswell

Hubert Boswell, 76, of Savannah, died Sunday, Nov. 28, in Jackson, Tenn.

He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late William Logan and Sarah Elizabeth English Boswell. He was united in marriage to Alta Jean McLain, who preceded her husband in death.

Mr. Boswell was a truck driver. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War from 1952 to 1957. He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church and was a member of Christian Assembly United Pentecostal Church.

Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Christian Assembly United Pentecostal Church in Adamsville with W.D. McCollum officiating. Burial was in the Adamsville Cemetery.

He is survived by one daughter, Julie Boswell of Harrisburg, Ill.; five sons, Jeff Boswell of Clyo, Ga., Gary Boswell and Ronnie Boswell, both of Stantonville, Tenn., Chris Boswell of Savannah and Jonathan Boswell of Louisville, Ky.; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild; four sisters, Mary Parker of Columbus, Miss., Joanne Gross of Lexington, Tenn., Sally Leonard of Selmer and Shirley White of Crump; and one brother, Buster Boswell of Lexington, Tenn.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Franklin and Lawrence Edward "Yogi" Boswell; one great grandchild; and one brother, James L. Boswell.
