Gracie Ann Denton, 76, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, July 17.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Dewey Burns and Ruby Katheleen Gooch Lewis.

Mrs. Denton attended The Carpenters Shop. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Rena Collum Murphy, Glen Collum Jr., Vickey Lynn Veo, Glenda Ann Collum Sylvester, Darryl Dewayne Collum, Ronald Lewis Collum, and Angelia Denise Denton, all of Savannah; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Lewis Carraway and Shelia Ann Powell Elpers, both of Houston, Texas; brothers, Billy Joe Lewis and Lawrence Cude, both of Savannah; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Collum; second husband, Robert E. Denton; two infant children; one grandson; sister, Ruby “Pearl” Hollins Hairrell Melton; and grandparents, William E. Lewis, Mary Jane “Mattie” Spears, and Annie Milton Gooch.

Services were held on Saturday, July 21, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Keith Holloway, Chucky Tucker, Rex Lewis and Colin Powell officiating. Burial followed in Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
