Glen "Wimp" Franks, 74, of Savannah, died Wednesday, April 9. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Roy and Hazel Durbin Franks. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Faye Clenney, who survives.
Mr. Franks was a retired construction worker.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Anita Lamont of Savannah; 10 stepchildren; a brother, Roy Franks Jr.; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his first wife Mary Edna Daniel Franks, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lynn Franks; two sisters, Annie Mae Tindon and Dorothy Rodriquez and a brother, Gene Franks.
Services were held Friday, April 11 in Savannah with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial followed at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Hardin County.
