Georgeann L. “Georgie” Sieger, age 74, died on Sunday, Dec. 21, at her home.
She was born on July 24, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Ann (Brecheisen) Schmidt. She was married to Robert Sieger on June 26, 1970, in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Georgie lived in the rural Savannah, Tennessee, area for 18 years where she volunteered at Horse Creek Wildlife Sanctuary and Animal Refuge.
Georgie was a delight to be around and was so thoughtful of others. She extended her positive outlook and friendliness to every person she met along life’s way.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheri (David) Hetrick of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Laura (Brad Weir) Hilgart of Columbus, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Gina (David) Norden, Justyn Hetrick, Jacob Hilgart, Shauna (Clint) Sopha; two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Walker Norden; two brothers, William (Sharon) Schmidt of South Carolina and Donald (Rosemary) Schmidt of Florida; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 2014; one son, George William “Billy” McDonald.
A celebration of life service will be at a later date.
