Geneva Carter Snyder, 93, of Morris Chapel, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26, in Adamsville. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, on March 1, 1930, the daughter of the late William Thomas and Beulah Culp Carter.
On July 3, 1948, she was united in marriage to O. T. Snyder, who preceded his wife in death on July 25, 2000.
Geneva worked as a secretary for Crunk Real Estate. She was a member of Morris Chapel Methodist Church and Woodmen of the World Ladies Auxiliary.
In her spare time she enjoyed working outside, camping, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Geneva is survived by her children, Deborah McMinn and her husband Freddie of Huntsville, Alabama, Mike Snyder and his wife Margaret of Morris Chapel, and Tommy Snyder and his wife Pam of Stantonville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Josh Vinson, Nathan Snyder and his wife Tina, Jennifer Snyder, Amanda McAdams and her husband Robert, Jake Snyder and his wife Emily, Kaitlin Craig and her husband Casey, and Evan Harris and his wife Julia; great-grandchildren, Kelsey VeLazquez and her husband Jaime, Kaylee Wheeler and her husband Ashton, Emma Snyder, Noah Snyder and his wife Rachel, Natalie Bobo, Rylee McAdams, Carter McAdams, Austin McAdams, Mackenzie Craig, Cooper Craig, Emerson Harris, Parker Snyder, and Carter Snyder; great-great-grandchild, Levi VeLazquez; brother, Larry Carter and his wife Nellie of Adamsville; and sisters, Shelia Warren of Saltillo, Tennessee and Shirley Bargas of Henderson, Tennessee.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, Nov. 30, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Robert Conder and Mike Moore officiating. Burial followed at Shady Grove Cemetery in Saltillo.
