Gene Lard
Gene Lard, 71, of Adamsville, died Friday, April 26, in Jackson, Tenn.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Ellie and Inez Rhodes Lard. He was united in marriage to Peggy Davis, who survives.
Mr. Lard was a retired self-employed commercial fisherman and carpenter. He was a member of the Riverheights Pentecostal Church in Crump.
Services were held on Monday, April 29, at Riverheights Pentecostal Church in Crump with Jerry Gibbs and Michael Gibbs officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Vinson Cemetery at Stantonville, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Lard of Adamsville; a daughter, Regina Jerrolds of Florence, Ala.; two sons, Roger of Savannah and Ronnie Lard of Adamsville; three sisters, Betty Russell of Bethel Springs, Bernice Siler of Adamsville, Callie White of Jackson, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; host of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deana Renee Lard.
