Freeman Wilkins Freeman Wilkins, 95, of Savannah, died Monday, May 3, in Savannah. He was born in Forth Worth, Texas, the son of the late William Robert and Roma Elizabeth Hughes Wilkins. He was united in marriage to Emily Kenneth Bowling, who preceded him in death. Mr. Wilkins worked for 40 years for TVA in security. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah. Mr. Wilkins was a United States Marines Veteran and he was awarded a Purple Heart. Services were held on Wednesday, May 5, at First United Methodist Church in Savannah with Dr. Ed Britt officiating. Burial was in the Morris Chapel Cemetery. He is survived by one brother, Walter Lee Wilkins of Crump. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Otis, William Taylor, Russell Andrew and Robert Lillian Wilkins.
