Frank Dudley Fondren, 95, of Savannah, died on Friday, July 26, at the Hardin Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Charlie and Maggie Durham Fondren. He was united in marriage to Carrie Mae Young, who preceded him death.Â
Mr. Fondren worked for Gross and Janes Cross-tie Company and also for Hardin County Schools as a bus driver. He served as director of Hardin County Farm Bureau and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah.
Services were held on Monday, July 29, at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Michael Roach officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

He is survived by a son, Frank Donnie Fondren of Savannah; one brother, Ancil Fondren of Fort Worth, Texas, and one sister, Virginia Morris of California.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild; two sisters, Gaston Fondren Love and Thelma Morton; and three brothers, Joe Bundy Fondren, James Fondren and an infant brother.Â
