Floyd "Dune" Hutton Jr. Floyd "Dune" Hutton Jr. was born in Hardin County, on May 10, 1941, the son of the late Floyd Hutton Sr. and Lena Belle DeShazier Hutton. On Oct. 28, 1961, he was united in marriage to Helen Lois May, who survives. Mr. Hutton worked in golf course maintenance for the State of Tennessee for 10 years. He enjoyed gardening, singing, playing harmonica, guitar and mandolin. He was self-taught on all the instruments. Floyd really enjoyed spending time with his family and telling old stories. He always made everyone laugh and will be greatly missed. Mr. Hutton departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 22, in Jackson, Tenn., at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 12 days. In addition to his wife Helen of Savannah, he is survived by two sons, Lannie Hutton and his wife Angie and Jeffrey Carl Hutton, all of Adamsville; two step-sons, Ronnie May and Michael May, both of Savannah; two grandchildren, Colby Hutton and Tyler Hutton and three step-grandchildren, Brad May, Josh May and Nicole May Stricklin; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Ann Smith and Gwenda May, both of Savannah; one brother, Bruce Hutton of Savannah. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Gary Hutton. A graveside service was held on Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Graham Cemetery in Savannah with Bill McCall officiating.
