Floyd Dean Harmon, 83, of Indiana, formerly of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 14, at Greenleaf Health Campus, in Indiana. He was born April 29, 1942 in Savannah, Tennessee, to the late Oscar Edwin & Bessie Blanche (Scott) Harmon. Floyd met and married his high school sweetheart, Mollie Lou Whitney, in his hometown of Savannah. They were united in marriage on November 26, 1964. Shortly after the union, the couple moved to Indiana where they built their life together. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mollie Lou Harmon; two sons, Terry (Pam) Harmon and Chad (Kristin) Harmon; sister-in-law, Betty Harmon; three grandchildren, Terrah (Wynton) Edwards, Lucas (Maddie) Harmon, & Ashley-Lauren Harmon; and a great-grandson, Damian Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Deana Michelle and Aaron Ketih; a grandson, Aaron James Harmon; and four siblings, Wallace Harmon, Inez Jackson, Charles Harmon, and his twin brother Loyd Harmon. Visitation and funeral services were held on Thursday, June 19, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with Brad Price, preacher at the Goshen Church of Christ, officiating. Burial followed at Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Lung Association.
