Eva Hopper Eva Hopper, 79, of Savannah, died Saturday, Aug. 27, in Savannah. She was born in Hartford, Ky., the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Bertha Ward. She was united in marriage to William Hopper, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Hopper worked at the Opryland Hotel for 5 to 8 years before she retired. She was a member of the Church of God for 20 years in Savannah. Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m., at Church of God in Savannah. Burial will follow in the Neill Cemetery at Savannah. Mrs. Hopper is survived by one daughter, Glenda Wyatt of Savannah; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Mary Sayre of Benton Harbor, Mich. and Wilda Swope of Cache, Okla.; one brother, Richard Ward of Culvert, Mich. She was also preceded in death by four sons, Gilbert, Gary, Elmer and Gerald (Gerry) Flener; and two brothers, Eugene and Clarence Ward.
