Emma Snodgrass Emma Smith Snodgrass, 97, of Savannah, loving wife and mother, died Tuesday, July 19, at Ashton Place Rehabilitation Center in Memphis. She was united in marriage to A.E. "Buster" Snodgrass for more than 65 years, who preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1997. Mrs. Snodgrass was a homemaker. She was a loyal member of New Life Pentecostal Church for more than 60 years. She was employed with the North Elementary School where she was a baker in the cafeteria. Services were held on Friday, July 22, at 1 p.m., at New Life United Pentecostal Church in Savannah with Rev. Gerald Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Crump Cemetery at Crump. She is survived by two daughters, Nadine Christian of Fort Worth, Texas, and Dot Snodgrass of Memphis; a son, Larry Snodgrass of Savannah; a sister, Betty Tomlinson of Adamsville; a brother, Ace Smith of Sardis, Miss.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Ponds, Hazel Turnbow; and Gurt Bonee and three brothers, Hershel, Bill and Short Smith.
