Earline Cochran departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 2, at the age of 87 years, 6 months, 30 days. Earline was born in Waterloo, Ala. on June 3, 1926, the daughter of the late Olgra Beckham Richardson Hunt and Robert Richardson. On Aug. 27, 1947, she was united in marriage Marvin Cochran, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2002.

She spent most of her life in Hardin County, and had worked at Park Rest Nursing Home as a cook; and 11 years in the Dallas,
Texas area. Earline loved to travel, was a passionate reader, and enjoyed photography, baseball and fishing. She also enjoyed
working with the American Legion Auxiliary and held several offices on local and state levels.

Earline was a member of the Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary of Carlsbad, N.M., and the Hairdressers of America in New Mexico.

Earline is survived by her daughters, Jean Jackman and husband George, Glenda Land and husband Jimmy all of Dallas,  Texas; grandchildren, Joseph Liddell, Christopher Liddell, and Kathy Galt; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a sister, Louella Barrier and husband J.V. of Savannah and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Andy Hunt and Joe Richardson.

Services were held on Monday, Jan. 6, in Savannah with Tony Polk officiating. Burial followed at Tri Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence, Ala.
