Earl Benson (5-10-15) service 5-12-15

Earl Benson, 86, of Savannah, died in his residence on Sunday, May 10.
He was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama, son to the late Ed and Clura Benson. He was united in marriage to Polly Benson, who survives.
Mr. Benson retired from Aqua Glass in Adamsville where he was employed as a spray operator for 20 years. He was also once employed for nine years at Florence Packing Company (Sara Lee) in Florence, Alabama. He was also a member of Church of Christ in Savannah.
In addition to his wife, Polly, he is survived by his children, Bobby Benson of Savannah and Misty Hobbs Moore of Stantonville; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, C.H. Benson; and a nephew.  
Services were held on Tuesday, May 12, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jim Chamblee and Howard Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
