Dot Broyles

Dot Broyles, 82, of Lenoir City, Tenn., formerly of Savannah, died Thursday, Aug. 5, at the Baptist Healthcare in Lenoir City, Tenn.

She was born in Tyronza, Ark., the daughter of the late Elbert E. and Lottie Haynes Gammill. She was united in marriage to Earl "Mutt" Broyles, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Broyles worked for Brown Shoe Company and worked with her husband at Mutt’s Stew Pot. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a Girl Scout Leader for 10 years. Mrs. Broyles was also a member of The Hardin County Band Boosters for many years.

Services were held on Sunday, Aug. 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

She is survived by two daughters, Pam Lewis of Lenoir City, Tenn. and Katherine Franks of Counce; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Barrier of Savannah, Ruth Cyr of Gilbert, Ariz., and Shirley Cooke of Clifton.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Emmogean Gammill and one brother, W.S. Gammill.
