Dorothy Waldon Dorothy Ann Waldon, 65, of Adamsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, in Jackson, Tenn. She was born in Corinth, Miss., the daughter of the late John and Modenia McDowell Waldon. Miss Waldon had worked as a seamstress in the garment factory at Eastview for several years. She was a member of the Tishomingo Chapel Baptist church,where she taught Sunday school for many years. Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Tim Elrod officiating. Burial followed in the Good Hope Cemetery at Adamsville. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Hodge of Middleton, Tenn.; a son, Eddie Austin of Russellville, Ala.; two step-daughters, Stacie Robertson and Lana Roland, both of Savannah; stepson, Greg Roland of Savannah; a sister, Mary Eubanks of Hornlake, Miss.; two brothers, Robert Waldon of Corinth, Miss., J.L. Waldon of Hernando, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Laura Jane Benjamin; a brother, Paul Waldon.
