Dorothy Cary, 83, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Jan. 20.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Charles Hartford and Vila Zilabee Allen Byram.  She was united in marriage to Luther William Cary, who survives.
Mrs. Carry was a member of East End United Methodist Church, and was baptized and emerged at Savannah Church of Christ. Before retiring, she worked as a driver for Southwest Resources, a Mary Kay consultant, the ice cream lady for Hardin County Junior High School, and at the Brown Shoe Factory.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, William Allen Cary of Savannah; daughter, Jeanette Carol Cary Pruitt of Savannah; six grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Rex Hector Byram, Hoover Dexter Byram, Kenneth Charles Byram, Marion Allen Byram, Allie Rachael Bradford, Frances Charlyne Williams, and three other siblings.
Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Wade Holbrook, Thomas Neill and Shelton Neill officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
