Doris Jean Taylor Williams, 82, of Memphis, departed this life on Thursday, November 13, the daughter of the late the late Earl and Mary Lavern Taylor.
She was a member of the Peace Tree United Methodist Church where she attended worship as well as worked with the United Methodist Women.
She served as a youth leader in the UMYF at St. James UMC. She was a girl scout leader and also a member of the Parkway Village garden club.
She is survived by her daughters, Patti Hopper, Cheryl Doo, and Michelle Angarita; eight grandchildren, four great-children; and her brother Joe Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tommie Williams; and her brother James Taylor.
Memorial services were held on Monday, November 17, at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Sardis, Tennessee, with Pastor Kris Roof officiating. Burial followed at Lebanon Cemetery in Sardis, Tennessee.
