Deleata Scott (11-16-18) service 11-20-18

Deleata Faye Scott, 75, of Savannah, died on Friday, Nov. 16.

She was born in Hardeman County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late RL and Vernelle McBride Powers. She was united in marriage to Garrett Scott Jr., who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Scott was formerly employed with Angelica Manufacturing.

She is survived by her children, Charolette Hodge of Pocahontas, Tennessee, Felicia Scott of Savannah, Karen Cearley and Tommy Long, both of Bolivar, Tennessee; brothers, Johnny Powers of Middleton, Tennessee and Mark Powers of Kentucky; sister, Anita Powers of Middleton, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Josh Franks officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
