David Holland David Holland was born in McNairy County, Tenn., on Sept. 22, 1935, the son of the Eber Columbus and Gracie Ursula Plunk Holland. On March 9, 1957, he was united in marriage to Joye Johnson, who survives. Mr. Holland had worked for Brown Shoe, Chrysler and most recently Angelica as a regional industrial engineer. He enjoyed camping, traveling, woodworking, and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had served in the Air Force National Guard. Mr. Holland departed this life on Sunday, July 17, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, 25 days. He is survived by his wife, Joye Johnson Holland; two daughters, Angie Austin and husband Frank of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Aleesa Holland of Nashville; two sons, Jeff Holland and wife Claudia of Savannah, Lee Holland of Weatherford, Texas; four grandchildren, Tony Couch, Chris Couch, Candace Austin Phillips and Noah Holland; four great-grandchildren, Benjamin Couch, Savannah Couch, Gianna Couch and Evie Phillips; three brothers, Perry Holland of Savannah, Melvin Holland of Henderson, Tenn. and Cleo Holland of Jackson, Tenn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Loyce, Carlous, Leslie, Elmo and Charles Holland; a sister, Maggie Holland. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 20, at the Memory Gardens in Savannah with Johnathan Tubbs and Mark LaRue officiating. Gary Holland, nephew, serving as musician.
