Dasye Faye Moore, 89, of Adamsville, departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 15. She was born on April 27, 1935, in Enville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Harley and Georgia Ava English Stanford.
On June 27, 1953, she was united in marriage to Leonard Ray Moore, who preceded his wife in death on Oct. 15, 1998.
Mrs. Moore retired from Angelica, where she worked as a seamstress for over 30 years. She had previously worked for Harwood Sewing Factory for over 20 years. She was a member of Sewing Workers of America Union for over 60 years. Dasye was always a very hard worker and a strong lady.
She was very protective of her family and was so proud of her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. She loved being in her families cheering section for her grandchildren’s events. She was an avid gardener and loved to tend to her flower beds and make flower arrangements. Dasye also enjoyed cooking, making candy, crocheting, and reading. She was a member of Crump United Methodist Church in Crump, Tennessee, for over 50 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Spencer of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chris Spencer (Mary), Holly Jones (Michael), and Daniel Moore (Michelle), all of Adamsville, Tennessee; and great-grandchildren, Jaxton Jones, Jasper Jones, Brayden Spencer, Sophia Moore, Eason Moore, Hadley Moore, and Raelynn Moore.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dasye was preceded in death by her son, Danny Ray Moore; son- in-law, Jerry David Spencer; and granddaughter, Sandra Faye Moore.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Jason Brock officiating. Burial followed at Old Union Cemetery in Adamsville, Tennessee.
