Daniel Holcombe, 63, of Savannah died Thursday, May 22, in Memphis. He was born in Florence, Ala., the son of James L. and Fannie McCurry Holcombe. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Young who survives.
Mr. Holcombe served his country in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973. He was a retired truck driver for Gerald White.
In addition to his wife and his parents he is survived by his two sons, Brian Holcomb of Minor Hill and Shane Holcombe of Florence, Ala.; one grandchild; a sister, Gwen Holcombe of Cypress Inn and three brothers, Steve Holcombe of Waterloo, Ala., Grady Holcombe of Priceville, Ala. and Tim Holcombe of Florence, Ala.
Services were held Monday, May 26, in Savannah with Larry Rich officiating. Burial followed at Campground Cemetery in Hardin County.
