Coleta Broadwell

Coleta J. Broadwell, 95, of Adamsville, died Saturday, March 26.

She was born in McNairy County, the daughter of the late Hershel and Mirtie Carroll Wilkins. She was united in marriage to Johnnie Lee Broadwell, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Broadwell was the Senior Instructor of Cosmetology at the Savannah School of Cosmetology. She was the oldest licensed cosmetologist in Tennessee. She was a member of the Gilchrist Presbyterian Church.

Services were held on Tuesday, March 29, at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville with Toni G. Watson officiating. Burial followed in the Adamsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Broadwell is survived by a son, Glen H. Gray of Savannah; a daughter, Patty Lowrey of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, Jerry Tucker, Dwight Eugene Tucker and Steve Broadwell; and a grandchild.
