Clifford R. Dicus, 86, of Highland, Illinois, died Wednesday, April 15, at his daughter’s home in Trenton, Illinois.
He was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, the son of  Marvin R. and Daisy M. Todd Dicus. He married Rosemary C. Leroy, who survives.
He was a member of Highland Community Church.
Mr. Dicus graduated from Frank Hughes High School in 1951.  After graduation, he ran a dairy farm and then moved to Highland, Illinois. He worked for Williams Chevrolet for many years, retiring in early 1970s from Gentemen Chevrolet. He then worked at his home-based auto repair body shop.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Dicus of Highland, Illinois; a sister, Robbie Robinson-Neill of Savannah; a son, Ronald R. Dicus of Highland, Illinois; three daughters, Virginia G. Barth of Highland, Illinois, Brenda K. Wernle of Jamestown, Illinois, and Tonia M. Schuck of Trenton, Illinois; two stepsons, Donald L. Danley of Troy, Illinois and Bill E. Federer of Highland, Illinois; two stepdaughters, Joyce E. Poelker of Greenville, Illinois and Lynn R. Rottmann of Highland, Illinois; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ellie Gipson Dicus; daughter, Caroline Dicus; son, Donald Carey Dicus; stepson, Duke Danley; brother,  William Calvin Dicus; sisters, Marie Robinson and Dorothy Jean Dicus.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Illinois.
Graveside service was held on Saturday, April 18, at Bethel Cemetery in Savannah.  Burial was at Bethel Cemetery in Savannah.
