Clark Cherry, 76, of Savannah, died Tuesday, April 15, at Savannah Health Care Center. He was the son of the late Jack Dillard and Millie Lowery Cherry Sr. He was united in marriage to Alma R. Chappelle Cherry who survives.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960. He worked for Savannah Furniture Store and was a member of Graham Chapel Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Lisa Cherry, Clark Cherry Jr., Michelle Coleman, Christy Hunt and Renee Nichols; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James D. “Peanut” Goodlow; sisters, Lillie, Mae and Estella; brothers, Jack “J.D.”, Frank Tatum, Bobby Joe, Thomas, Lonnie, John, Milton and William and a great-grandchild.
Services were held Saturday, April 19, in Savannah with Gallian Fulton officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
