Christine White Cox, 82, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Jackson Madison Country General Hospital. She was born in Wayne County, to the late Millard and Myrtle Cossey White. She was united in marriage to Jessie Lyn Cox, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cox was a member of the White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah.
Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m. at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah with Randy Carroll and Charles Linam officiating. Burial followed in the White’s Creek Cemetery at Hardin County.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Lambert of Savannah; three sons, David Cox of Morristown, Tenn., Harley and James Cox, both of Savannah; a sister, Nellene Smith of Savannah; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eldredge White.
