Charles Hunt Charles Emory "Honey" Hunt, 78, of Walker Town community, died Tuesday, June 7. He was born in Waterloo, Ala., the son of the late Charlie Rebel and Bessie Mayflower Highland Hunt. He was united in marriage to Mackie Louetta Briley, who preceded him in death. Mr. Hunt owned and operated Ever Ready Auto Parts in Savannah for 24 years. He was the receiving manager for Wal-Mart for almost 34 years. He opened his home for 17 years to care for foster children. Services were held on Saturday, June 11, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Acton. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. He is survived by a daughter, Lorie Jackson James; a brother, James Wyley Hunt of Savannah; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Van Hunt.
