Carter Cromwell Carter Cromwell, 82, of Savannah, died Wednesday, Nov. 9. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Morris Cella and Grace Eunice Spencer Cromwell. He was united in marriage to Clyde Maxine Copeland, who preceded him in death. Mr. Cromwell was a retired brick mason. He was a member of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and the Masons. Services were held on Sunday, Nov. 13, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Artie Rivers and Michael Roach officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County. He is survived by two sons, Mark of Dallas, Texas and Phil Cromwell of Savannah; a daughter, Leigh Ann Thomas of Corinth, Miss.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Hunnicutt of Los Angeles, Calif. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Grady, Dudley, and Glen Cromwell; two sisters, Maxine Williams and Jewel Conner.
