Carrie Shelby Carrie Nell Shelby, 84, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Savannah. She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Harve Dan and Margaret Elizabeth Hosea Rich. She was united in marriage to H.G. "Red" Shelby, who survives. Mrs. Shelby retired after 40 years from Brown Shoe Company where she worked in the office. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of Savannah Book Club, Eastern Star, Historical Society, the Women’s Republican Party of Hardin County and the Wesleyan Circle. A graveside service was held on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the New Harmony Cemetery in Savannah with Will McReynolds officiating. In addition to her husband, H.G. "Red" of Savannah, she is survived by her children, Kevin Shelby of Savannah and Kerry Shelby of Key West, Fla.; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Edith Wells.
