Carl Fillmore Coln Carl Fillmore Coln, 85, of Corinth, Miss., died Saturday, April 23, at his home. Services were held at McPeters Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 26, at 4 p.m., with military honors. Minister Lennis Nowell and Bill Wages officiated. Burial was in the Lorraine Cemetery, McNairy County. Mr. Coln was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. He was a retired self-employed master mechanic for farm tractors. Mr. Coln was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II and a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. He is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Mildred Coln; his second wife, Maxine Coln; a stepson, Jerry Crooks; a grandson, Marcus Tucker; a brother, Roy Coln; and his parents, George H. and Myrtle Bray Coln. Survivors are a son, David Coln (Barbara) of Corinth, Miss.; three daughters, Sandra Brawner (Brandon), Ann Smith (Dennis), both of Corinth, Theressa Howie (Stan) of Iuka; one brother, Jack Coln of Chattanooga; two sisters, Jewel Hubbard of New Brunswick, N.J.; Mary Ruth Chandler of Parkridge, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Rachel Shaw, Brad Brawner, Maranda McLemore, Patrick Coln, Jessica Coln, Denny Smith and Jay Smith; six great-grandsons, Hunter Shaw, Chase Shaw, Sage McLemroe, Jake Smith, Trevor Smith and Tayton Smith.
