Brown Mitchell
Brown Mitchell, 87, of Savannah, died Wednesday, April 17, at Hardin Medical Center.
He was born in Hardin County to the late Jim and Tinni Mitchell. He was united in marriage to Mae Pilkinton, who survives.
Mr. Mitchell worked as a self-employed carpenter and farmer. He loved growing and selling his tomatoes. He attended First Assembly of God Church of Savannah.
Services were held on Friday, April 19, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Charles Linam officiating. Burial followed in the Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
In addition to his wife, Mae Pilkinton Mitchell of Savannah, he is survived by daughters, Janice Lambert of Savannah and Pam Thompson of Saltillo; sons, William of Henderson, Tenn., and Danny Mitchell of Savannah; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lynn Mitchell; sisters, Julie Franks, Etta Pickens, Della Pickens, Evie Price and Evon Brown; brothers, Grady, Johnny, Dan, Walker and Hardin Mitchell.
