Bobby Linville

Bobby Clarence Linville, of Clifton, was born Feb. 24, 1950, in Wayne County, Tenn., the son of the late Willie Clarence and Sarah Lucille McCain Linville. He was united in marriage to Sherri Davis on Jan. 25, 1992.

Mr. Linville was a journeyman wireman with L.E. Myers and attended Riverside United Methodist Church in Clifton. He was a member of Clifton Masonic Lodge and a member of IBEW Local 852.

Mr. Linville departed this life on Saturday, March 30, at Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland, Tenn., at the age of 63 years, 1 month, 6 days after a sudden illness.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Davis Linville, Clifton; a daughter, Rhonda Ray Lemay, Waynesboro; three step sons, Brad Barnhill, Kansas City, Mo., Clif Barnhill, Knoxville, John Barnhill, Savannah; grandchildren, Caden, Levi, and Mason Barnhill, Somer Stone, Tanner West; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Presley, and Isaiah Stone; a sister, Gail Fraley, Iron City, Tenn.; many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Linville was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Linville; a sister, Nell Rich; a grandchild, Chastity Jones.

Services were held on Tuesday, April 2, at 1 p.m., at Riverside Methodist Church, Clifton, with Don Spencer and Josh Layne officiating. Masonic Rites were given. Burial followed in the Clifton Cemetery, Clifton, with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers were Joe Warrington, Freddie Kimbrough, Petey Warren, William Crosswhite, George Ellis, and Jimmy Denton. Honorary pallbearers werer Brad Turner and Brian Bullard.
