Bobby Gene Rickman Bobby Gene Rickman was born Sept. 19, 1934, in McNairy County, Tenn., the son of the late Walter and Sallie D. Burns Rickman. He was united in marriage to Cleathia Young on Jan. 30, 1999. Mr. Rickman was a cattle and row crop farmer, he retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Agriculture, he served on the Board of Directors of National Farmers Organization, McNairy County Soil Conservation District, West Eight County Association of Soil Conservation Districts, McNairy County Farmers Coop and Tennessee Polled Hereford Association. He also served as a McNairy County Commissioner. He was a member of the Enville Church of Christ in Enville and American Polled Hereford Association. Mr. Rickman departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 6, in Jackson, Tenn., at the age of 76 years, 4 months, 18 days. He is survived by his wife Cleathia Rickman of Enville; two daughters, Jane Rickman of Milledgeville, Lisa Matlock and husband Dewayne of Morris Chapel; three sons, Randy Rickman of Enville, Steve Rickman of Adamsville and Bobby Rickman of St. Louis, Mo.; two stepsons, Mike Stanfill and wife Regina of Adamsville, Mark Stanfill of Cookeville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Jaime (Ellis) Grammer, April Ellis, David Rickman, Kristi Watson, Alan Rickman, Kyle Rickman, Brett Rickman; step-granddaughter, Rachel Stanfill; two great-grandchildren, Sarah Watson, Jacob Rickman; four sisters, Beatrice Hughes of Morris Chapel, Grace Spencer of Milledgeville, Dorothy Bridges of Milledgeville, Marie Essary Wells of Milledgeville; two brothers, Harold Rickman of Bolivar, Tenn., Jerry Dean Rickman of Adamsville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rickman was preceded in death by three brothers, Otis Rickman, Roy Rickman, Carl Rickman. Services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville in Adamsville, Tenn,, with Mat Orphanides officiating. Burial followed in the Milledgeville Cemetery.
