Bobby lived in Savannah his whole life. He was a truck driver for Gerald White Trucking. Bobby loved to ride his motorcycle, especially on hills at Bruton’s Branch. He enjoyed anything involving fast cars, especially races on tv. Bobby was a devoted father, son and grandfather.
He departed this life on Thursday, May 24, in Savannah, at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 19 days.
Bobby is survived by his two daughters, Kristen Cherry of Savannah and Brandy Shields of Toone, Tennessee; one grandchild, Nevaeh Shields; his parents, Bobby Joe Cherry and Pauline Hopper Franks; two half sisters, Rebecca Cherry Avent and Pam Cherry Everett; and one half brother, Larry Harville.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Rachel Franks; and one brother, Joe Lynn Cherry.
Services were held on Sunday, May 27, at 1:30 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Joe Loncar officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
