Blanch Burgess (7-18-13) Service 7-21-13

 Blanch Burgess, 86, Savannah, died on Thursday, July 18, at Hardin Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late James Lawson and Mary Blanch Adams Cummings. She was united in marriage to Everett Burgess, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Burgess retired from Wilson Sporting Goods.
Services were held on Sunday, July 21, at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Phillip Crowder officiating. Burial followed in the Wesley’s Chapel Church Cemetery at Savannah.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Jean Stricklin of Savannah, and Donna Sue Clayton of Henderson, Tenn.; one sister, Thelma Doyle of Savannah; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In additon to to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, J.L. Cummings and Douglas M. Cummings.
