Billy Peden Sr. (8-23-23) no service date

Billy Preston Peden Sr., 82, of Counce, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 20, the son of the late Robert Gillium and Bertha Jeanette Steadham Johnson.

He was united in marriage to Marla Bachkora, who survives.

Mr. Peden Sr. owned and operated Speden’s Towing & Recovery and 21st Century Automotive, both in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was a member of Gideon International and Hopewell Baptist Church in Savannah. He graduated from Evangelism Explosion.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marla Peden of Counce; sons, Alan Peden of Marion, Arkansas, and Billy Peden Jr.; daughter, Meshelle Nabors of Counce; sister, Louise Ivy of West Memphis, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Wilmot; brothers, A. D. Peden, Sr. and Jack Peden Sr.; and grandchild, Clayton Peden.
