Billy Joe Rippy, 62, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, July 14, the son of the late Jimmy James and Mary Lois Pipes Rippy.
He was united in marriage to Frieda Jean Qualls Rippy, who survives.
Billy retired from Hardin Medical Center Maintenance Department. He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frieda Rippy; sons, Nathan Lee Brumley and Matthew Adam Brumley; sisters, Dorothy Nell DeShazier, Doris Jane Plunk, Betty Diane Tarkington, and Linda Jean Eliff; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Lynn Rippy.
Memorial services were held on Friday, Aug. 9, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah, with Joe Loncar officiating. Burial followed at Neill Cemetery in Savannah.
