Bill Swope

Bill Swope was born in Tennessee on June 14, 1956, the son of Beatrice Swope and the late William Lawrence Swope Sr.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Lee Brashier who precedes him in death.

Bill was an over-the-road truck driver. He worked for Anderson Trucking Company in Selmer and for Aqua Glass in the transportation department in Adamsville. Bill served time in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion. Bill enjoyed hunting, canning, fishing and gardening. He lived in Hardin County for the last 20 years.

Bill departed this life on Wednesday, May 30, at the age of 55 years, 11 months, 16 days.

He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Swope of Clifton; one daughter, Sabrina Swope of Loxahatchee, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Angie and husband Charles Free of Clifton; two stepsons, Barry Bridges of Savannah; Robert and wife Tina Bridges of Clifton; three brothers, James Swope of Savannah; Brian Swope of Texas, Michael Swope of California; two sisters, June Daves of Oklahoma, ZoeAnne Harrelle of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two grandchildren, Ariana and Leilant Ball. He is also survived by his special mother and father-in-law Loche and Raymond Brashier of Clifton.

In addition to his wife, Bill was also preceded in death by his father Lawrence Swope Sr.

A graveside service was held on Monday, June 4, at the Clifton Cemetery in Clifton, with Bobbie Martin officiating.
