Bill Emerson (2-25-14) service 3-1-14

Bill Emerson, 67, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Feb. 25. He was born in Florence, Ala., the son of the late William Carroll and Annie Rob Porter Emerson. He was united in marriage to Gillian “Jill” Stewart, who survives.

 He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked for Packaging Corporation of America in Counce.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeff Emerson of Dickson; stepdaughter, Angie Roberts Etheridge of Savannah; a granddaughter and a sister, Jimmie Warren of Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda White.

Services were held Saturday, March 1, in Savannah with Frank Bailey officiating. Burial followed at Porter Cemetery in Hardin County.
