Betty McLin

Betty McLin, 67, of Savannah, died Thursday, Aug. 25, at Hardin Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Bill and Mary Lillian Johnson Mayhall. She was united in marriage to J.C. (Jake) McLin, who survives.

Mrs. McLin was a retired production worker from Hamilton Plastics in Pickwick, where she had worked for 10 years and was a member of the New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Charles Linam officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to her husband Jake, she is survived by two daughters, Berretta Glissen and Christy Hamm, both of Savannah; a son, Chuck Glissen of Appleton, Wis.; two stepdaughters, Helen Beckham and Jane Deshaizer, both of Savannah; four stepsons, Danny McLin of Collinwood and Kenny, Tony, and Billy McLin, all of Savannah; one sister, Brenda Kay Parvin of Counce; six grandchildren and 22 step-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Mayhall; and one stepson, Jim McLin.
