Betty Jo Baker

Betty Jo Baker, 77, of Clifton, died Monday, Oct. 3, in Columbia, Tenn.

She was born in Winchester, Tenn., the daughter of the late Joseph Samuel Coffelt and Jesse Anderson Rogers. She was united in marriage to T.J. Baker, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Baker was a homemaker, and a member of Church of God in Clifton.

Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Shayne Riley officiating. Burial followed in the Baker Cemetery at Clifton.

She is survived by three sons, Douglas Champion of Knoxville, and Troy J. and Terry J. Baker, both of Clifton; three daughters, Carolyn A. Godfrey of Knoxville, Pamela A. Reynolds of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. and Marylee Lazzaro of New Tazewell, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Rogers of Estill Springs and Linda Champion of Huntsville, Ala.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bud Coffelt; and one grandchild.
